Dr. Chanchal Sharma, a gynecologist in Delhi, says that women who plan pregnancy after the age of 35 are twice as likely to have a miscarriage as women below 30 years of age. At this age, obesity also increases rapidly in women, due to which the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes also increases. The chances of having a normal delivery also reduce with increasing age. In such a situation, C section surgery has to be done. Due to which the risk is higher.

The child may suffer from these diseases

Dr. Chanchal Sharma tells that if you get pregnant after the age of 35, then there is a risk of some diseases in the child. There is a risk of genetic diseases like type 1 diabetes. In some cases the child may become a victim of a disease like Down syndrome.

Due to this disease, the child is at risk of having a mental disorder or thyroid from birth, although this does not happen in all cases. After the age of 35, one in every 150 children is at risk of these diseases. In such a situation, women are advised not to plan a child late. If for some reason you have to do this, then keep a few things in mind.
