There is good news for the girl students waiting for the Single Girl Child Scholarship given by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CBSE has released the notification related to application for Single Girl Child Scholarship. Students interested in this scholarship can do so by visiting the official website cbse.gov.in.
The board has also launched the renewal portal of the scheme for those girl students who were awarded it in 2022. The last date for registration on the official website is October 18. Details related to the application can be seen below.
Benefits of CBSE Scholarship
Based on the issued notification, students can apply for scholarship till 18 October 2023. Please note that no application has been accepted after the due date. Students will have to note here that the board will not accept any kind of offline application or hard copy of documents. Whereas selected students get Rs 500 per month and Rs 6000 per year. In this way, you will get Rs 12000 in two years.

It can be known from its name itself that it is only for those students who are the only children of their parents. Only those candidates should apply for this scholarship who have passed 10th class from CBSE. Also, you must have secured 60 percent marks in class 10th. Those students can apply for this scholarship, if they are doing further 11th and 12th from CBSE affiliated school.

CBSE had started this scheme only a few years ago. The main objective of implementing this scheme is to promote the girl child. The scholarship amount will be sent directly to the students' accounts. If any students want to avail the benefits of this scheme further, they can apply next year also. Under this scheme the board promotes girl students for higher education. CBSE has made it clear in its issued notification that along with applying for the scholarship for the year 2023, one can also renew the scholarship for the year 2022.
