Relief news, Amul milk will not be expensive anymore, this is the reason

There is news of relief for the common man. Milk of the country's popular milk brand Amul will no longer be expensive. The company has also made the reason clear.

Milk of the country's most popular dairy brand Amul will no longer be expensive. This is a big news of relief for the common man, because the prices of milk have been continuously increasing for some time. Especially the rising prices of full cream milk has troubled the common man a lot. Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation, which manages the Amul brand, has also clarified the reason for not increasing the prices of milk.

Federation Managing Director Jayen S. Mehta said on Wednesday that this year Gujarat has received monsoon rains on time. Because of this, the situation is quite good and the milk procurement season has started. In such a situation, there is no possibility of further increase in the price of Amul milk.

No fear of fodder prices increasing

In a conversation with PTI, Jayne S. Mehta said that due to the timely arrival of monsoon, the cattle farmers producing milk will not be under pressure from the rising prices of fodder. Therefore, this good season for purchasing milk is starting. Therefore, now the price of milk is not expected to increase. Mehta was asked about the increase in milk prices in the coming months.

Amul's emphasis on investment

Regarding Amul's investment plans, he said that the federation is investing about Rs 3,000 crore every year. This will continue for the next many years. Along with increasing the procurement of milk in the country, there is also a need to expand the processing facilities. Amul is preparing to set up a new dairy plant in Rajkot soon. This plant will be able to process 20 lakh liters of milk every day. There will be an investment of at least Rs 2,000 crore on the Rajkot project.

10 crore families have been taken care of

India has or is soon going to enter into Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with countries like the European Union (EU) and Britain. In such a situation, what will be the impact on the milk producers of the country? In response to this, Mehta said that milk is the means of livelihood for more than 10 crore families in India. Most of the producers in this are small and marginal farmers. The government also considers this a main issue. Therefore, the dairy sector has been kept out of all FTAs.
