Rising prices of sugar will be controlled, government can ban export

The government may soon take a big decision to control the rising prices of sugar and inflation in the country. The government may ban the export of sugar in the coming season.

The rising price of sugar has spoiled the kitchen budget of the common man all over the world. Due to the huge difference between supply and demand, the price of sugar has reached a 12-year high. In such a situation, the government may soon take a big decision to control the rising prices of sugar and inflation in the country. The government may ban the export of sugar in the coming season. In fact, sugar prices are continuously increasing in the country, in view of which a notification of ban on sugar export can be issued in the first week of November.

The government is making this plan

According to the news of Moneycontrol, an official of the Department of Consumer has given this information to the financial portal. The sugar season starts from October and continues till September next year. In such a situation, the government may ban its export in the coming season. In fact, after selling a record 11 million tonnes of sugar in the year 2021-22, India had imposed a ban on the export of sugar in the year 2022-23, so that the supply of sugar in the country's domestic market continues without interruption and the prices are kept under control. Can go.

At the beginning of the sugar season of 2022-23, the central government had limited sugar export to about 6 million tonnes. In such a situation, once again the government will work to control sugar prices in the country by banning the export of sugar.

Sugar production fell in these states

Due to less than normal rainfall this year in the top sugarcane producing states of the country like western state Maharashtra and southern Karnataka, there is a possibility of sugar season production. If we look at the sugar production figures till August, this year the production of sugar has been 50 percent less than the average production. This has happened because both the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka produce more than half of India's total sugar output. This time sugar production has fallen in these states only.
