Odisha's Economic Offenses Wing will interrogate film actor Govinda in the Rs 1000 crore online ponzi scam case. It is alleged that a company named Solar Techno Alliance has defrauded 2 lakh people in India to the tune of Rs. 1000 crores. However, Govinda is not an accused in the case.

According to the report, Solar Techno Alliance (STA-Token) allegedly ran an illegal Ponzi scheme through a crypto investment venture. This company has online presence in many countries of the world. It is alleged that through the scheme the company committed a scam of Rs 1000 crore in many cities of India.
Got two lakh people to deposit Rs 1000 crore
Through this online Ponzi scheme, the company got around Rs 1000 crore deposited from more than 2 lakh people in an unauthorized manner. According to the report, Govinda had promoted this company. He also made promotional videos for the company. Regarding this, the officials of the Economic Offenses Wing are going to answer questions from Govinda to gather more information.
According to TOI report, EOW Inspector General JN Pankaj has said that he will soon send a team to Mumbai which will interrogate Govinda in the case. He told that Govinda had participated in the grand function of STA held in Goa in July and had promoted the company in some videos.
According to the Inspector General, at present Govinda is neither an accused in this case nor is he being suspected. However, he has definitely said that his role in the case will be clear only when he is interrogated. If Govinda is limited to publicity only in this case then he can be made a witness.
What was this Ponzi scheme?
This fraudulent company collected Rs 30 crore from about 10 thousand people of Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Bhubaneswar. Apart from this, people were also targeted in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. The company used to ask people to invest and also asked the investors to add other people along with them. She also promised incentives if people joined.
