Manmohan Singh was born in the year 1932 in Gah village of Chakwal district of present-day Pakistan. Manmohan Singh's economic liberalization policies worked to free the country from the clutches of poverty. Today almost 30 years have passed since his historic budget of 1991. Because of these policies, 30 crore people in the country have been helped to come out of poverty. The private sector has expanded, creating crores of new jobs. Whereas India, which was dependent on imports in many cases, has today become one of the largest software exporters in the world. The expansion of the IT sector has made a large population of this country rich.

Took care of hunger, employment and education

When Manmohan Singh became the Prime Minister of the country in 2004, the hunger, employment and education of crores of people were fully taken care of in his government. During his tenure, the country got a law like MNREGA which guarantees employment to people at the rural level. His government introduced the 'Food Security Bill', which helped in freeing crores of people from starvation.

Not only this, he made 'Right to Education' a fundamental right to shape the future of the country. With its help, access to good education was ensured for crores of poor people.

Fixed the responsibility of corporates

Not only this, a new Companies Act was also brought during the tenure of Manmohan Singh. This law fixed the responsibilities of the corporates of the country. Social responsibility applied to companies. Due to this, major changes were seen at the level of society.
