Ingredients:
- Gond (edible gum) - ¼ cup
- Desi ghee - ½ cup
- Wheat flour - 1 cup -
Sugar or jaggery - ¾ cup (as per)
- Water - 2 cups
- Almonds, cashews and pistachios - finely chopped ( For decoration
– Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

Preparing gum: Heat some ghee in a pan, add gum and fry until it swells and turns golden. Now take it apart.
Frying the flour: Now add remaining ghee in the pan and add wheat flour and fry on medium flame till it turns golden.
Preparing the syrup: Add water and sugar or jaggery in a separate pan and cook until it thickens.
Preparing Halwa: Now add fried gum, cardamom powder and sugar syrup to the flour. Mix well and cook until the halwa thickens.
Decoration: Before serving the prepared halwa, garnish with finely chopped almonds, cashews and pistachios.
Your gond halwa is ready, serve hot and enjoy.
