This writer who wrote Amar Akbar Anthony is no more, Amitabh Bachchan-Anil Kapoor expressed grief

Writer Prayag Raj, who wrote screen plays for big Bollywood films, has passed away. He breathed his last at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor also expressed grief on this occasion. Prayag had worked with Big B in many films.

A sad news has come out from the Bollywood industry. Prayag Raj, screenwriter of films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Naseeb and Coolie, has passed away. He was 88 years old and breathed his last in Bandra on Saturday. Actor's son Aditya informed about his father's demise. There is mourning in Bollywood due to the departure of the writer. Superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor have expressed grief over Prayag's demise.

While sharing the news of Prayag Raj's demise, his son Aditya while talking to PTI said - 'He breathed his last at his residence in Bandra. He was suffering from health related problems but his condition was stable. He was also suffering from heart disease for the last 10 years. Let us tell you that he died at the age of 88. It took place on Sunday at Shivaji Park Sanatorium in Dadar in which his family and relatives including those close to the industry were also present.

Many stars who worked with him were saddened to hear the news of his demise. While sharing the post on this occasion, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan wrote - Last evening we lost another strong pillar of this great industry. Let us tell you that Amitabh Bachchan had worked with Prayag Raj in many films including Coolie, Naseeb, Amar Akbar and Anthony.

Anil Kapoor also paid tribute

Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor also looked sad after hearing the news of Prayag Raj's demise. He wrote- I am feeling very sad on the occasion of the demise of Prayag Raj. It was a privilege for me to work with him in the film Hifazat. May his soul rest in peace.
