iPhone 15 Charging Port:
USB Type C charging port is being speculated in the iPhone 15 series. Now only time will tell that with which charger the new iPhone will be charged. Today we will see which port has been used in the models from the first iPhone till now.

The path for the launch of iPhone 15 series is almost cleared. Apple can launch a new series of iPhone on September 12. Apart from the new iPhone, the American tech giant can also unveil other products. Talking about the iPhone 15 series, many leaks have surfaced that these models will come with USB Type-C port. If this happens then it will be a big change in the world of iPhone. Here we are telling you which charging ports have been used by Apple in iPhone from the beginning till now.

Apple introduced many types of chargers for iPod, iPhone and iPad. The company has so far launched four types of charging cables in the market. These include 6-pin FireWire to Lightning connector . Let us look at all these one by one.

6-Pin FireWire Connector

Apple first introduced the 6-pin FireWire connector. It was used in the original iPod. This continued till the third generation iPod. After this Apple started using a new dock connector. Apple removed FireWire and introduced the USB version.

30-Pin Dock Connector

This charging connector was flat and wide, with 30-pin. It was first introduced in 2003. The 30-pin connector was designed for early models of the iPod and iPhone. It ended in 2012.

Lightning Connector

In 2012, Apple unveiled the brand-new Lightning connector. It was 80 percent smaller than the 30-pin connector. This was one of the biggest news of that time in the tech sector. Lightning port can be counted among the most special moments in the history of Apple. This connector entered the market with iPhone 5. It is also used in iPhone 14 series.

Remember those days, Apple lovers used to buy third party accessories separately for iPod or iPhone. As soon as Apple announced the Lightning connector, all these accessories became useless for the new models.

EU made law

The European Union has passed a law requiring all mobile phones, tablets and cameras sold in Europe to have USB Type C support by the end of 2024. Similar preparations are going on in India. That's why it is expected that the iPhone 15 series will knock with USB Type C.
