What does Taliban want to do in India? Ambassador is sitting in London, silence at the embassy in Delhi

Afghanistan embassy closed in Delhi? Such news has been circulating for the last few days but the Indian Foreign Ministry has not yet issued any official statement. The Afghan Embassy has also not given any official confirmation in this regard. India has not even accepted the Taliban envoy.

Is Afghanistan going to close its embassy in India? This news has been circulating for the last few days but there is no official confirmation of these news at present. India came to know that Taliban was taking steps in this direction. The Government of India has reportedly not been talked to about this. The ambassador was appointed during the tenure of Ashraf Ghani. Even after the Taliban takeover, he was working as the ambassador of Afghanistan.

Farid Mamundze was working as Afghanistan's ambassador to India. Currently he is in London. Before the Taliban takeover, the Ghani government had appointed him in Delhi. The Indian government said that the Afghan Embassy in Delhi has reportedly issued a statement and has talked about closing the embassy. The authenticity of this statement is being investigated.

Embassy wrote a letter to the Foreign Ministry?

Sources said that this alleged statement has come at a time when the Ambassador has been out of India for the last several months. There is a suspicion that there may have been some kind of internal conflict in the Indian Embassy. It is also reported that the Afghan Embassy has written a letter to the Foreign Ministry in this regard, informing them that the operation will be stopped in the next few days. However, the embassy has not yet responded to these reports.

Has Taliban appointed an ambassador?

In April-May, there were reports of internal conflict in the Afghan Embassy. It was learned that Taliban is going to appoint an ambassador here from its side. However, rejecting these reports, the Afghan Embassy in India had clarified that there has been no change in the leadership. Qadir Shah, who was working as a trade counselor, had written a letter to the Indian External Affairs Ministry claiming to have been appointed as an envoy by the Taliban.

India has not recognized the new ambassador

India has not yet accepted this claim of Qadir Shah. The Taliban had gained power for the second time by ousting the Ashraf Ghani government of Afghanistan. Till now no country has recognized Taliban as the government of Afghanistan. However, China and Russia are in constant talks with Taliban leaders. First the Chinese ambassador went to Afghanistan and later Taliban leaders met Russian leaders during their visit to Russia.
