The Aedes mosquito transfers dengue virus from one person to another. Whenever the Aedes mosquito sucks the blood of a person suffering from dengue, it accumulates the dengue virus in its body. Then when it bites another healthy person, dengue virus enters that person's body. In this way the mosquito becomes the carrier of dengue virus and spreads the disease. 

Symptoms of dengue appear only 3 to 10 days after contracting it. Dengue fever is different from normal fever in many ways.

Dengue causes headache, back pain, muscle pain and joint pain which do not occur in normal fever.

Due to dengue, the number of platelets and white blood cells can fall rapidly.

Dengue can be dangerous, while normal fever is usually mild.

When does dengue mosquito bite?  

A common misconception about dengue mosquitoes is that they bite only during the day. But this is actually not the case. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Aedes mosquitoes, which cause dengue, can bite both day and night. Aedes mosquitoes are more active in the morning and evening. But these mosquitoes can also bite at night, especially in dark rooms.
