When Anurag Kashyap's film was removed from the screen because of Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger', there was pain.

Bollywood's famous director Anurag Kashyap talked about going to Hollywood and explained how Hindi cinema differentiates between commercial cinema and craft cinema. His film was removed from the theater because of a superstar.

Director Anurag Kashyap, who made hit films like Gangs of Wasseypur, recently said in an interview that his film was removed from the theater because of the release of a big superstar's film. Anurag Kashyap said that Salman Khan's film 'Ek Tha Tiger' was to be released after his film 'Gangs of Wasseypur', due to which his film was thrown out of the theaters in just 9 days.

Anurag Kashyap said that due to stardom, box office and commercial films, theater owners also do not give space to craft films. Today, even though people talk a lot about Gangs of Wasseypur, but this film was removed from the theaters within 9 days, because a big film like 'Ek Tha Tiger' was coming. This decision was not of any star or producer, but the theaters took this decision. Gangs of Wasseypur did a business of Rs 26 crores in 9 days. If the film and ticket could have done good business.

Talking about going to Hollywood, Anurag Kashyap said that he has no intention of leaving Bollywood. Even though his films are well-liked abroad, but at the moment there is no such intention. Talking about his 3-decade career, Anurag Kashyap said that he has not worked with any A-listed actor except Ranbir Kapoor in Bombay Velvet.

The director said that after this he has stopped making big budget films. Anurag Kashyap is in discussions these days about his film Kennedy. Sunny Leone starrer film Kennedy was also premiered at the Cannes 2023 Film Festival. The film was also shown at the recent Indian Film Festival in Melbourne.
