
Various types of competitions keep going on all over the world. Some competitions are related to singing, some are related to dancing and some are related to sports. There are some such competitions in many places, people are filled with surprise after knowing about them. Like, cheese rolling contest, high heel drag queen race, slapping contest. These are such competitions which are considered strange. Now one such strange competition is in discussion, in which the participants have to show their laziness. Whoever is the laziest will be considered the winner of this competition.
This strange competition is taking place in the resort village of Brejna in northern Montenegro of Europe. In this competition held every year, currently seven contestants are seen showing off their laziness in the hope of getting the title of 'laziest citizen'. According to the report of New York Post, these seven contestants have been lying down continuously for the last 20 days. They have long since broken last year's record of 117 hours, but despite this they are moving ahead in the race to create a new record.
This is how the competition started
This competition started with 21 participants, but gradually they dropped out and now only 7 participants remain in the competition. Organizer of this unique competition, Radonja Blagojevic said that this is the 12th edition of the 'Legistest Citizen' competition, that is, this competition has been going on for the last 12 years. He also told how this strange competition started. According to reports, it was believed that the people of Montenegro were lazy and this competition was started 12 years ago to make fun of this myth.
What are the rules of the competition?
The participants in this competition are allowed to eat, drink, read, use mobile phones and laptops, but the condition is that they will have to do all these tasks while lying down. In this, getting up, sitting and standing is considered a violation of the rules. Any participant found doing so in the middle of the competition is immediately thrown out of the competition. However, participants do get a 10-minute bathroom break every 8 hours. Whoever wins this unique competition will be given a prize of 1,070 dollars i.e. about 89 thousand rupees.
