South actor Vishal has made serious allegations against the censor board. While releasing a video, he has claimed that he had to pay a bribe of around Rs 6.5 lakh to get the Hindi version of his film Mark Antony passed by the Censor Board and get it screened. While sharing the video, Vishal wrote on Twitter (X), “It is okay if corruption is seen on the silver screen, but it is not right in real life. This cannot be digested. Especially in government offices. Even worse is happening in the Mumbai office of the Central Board of Film Certification. I had to pay Rs 6.5 lakh for the Hindi version of my film Mark Antony.”
Vishal has claimed, “Two transactions took place. Rs 3 lakh for screening and Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand for certificate. I have never seen such a time in my career. I had no option but to pay the money to the mediator because a lot was at stake, my film is releasing today (28 September). I want to convey this to the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Prime Minister Modi.”

Vishal says that he is doing all this not for himself but for the upcoming producers. Should not happen. He said, “Should my hard-earned money go into corruption? no way." Vishal is very famous in the South. He is a well-known actor of Tamil films. His full name is Vishal Krishna Reddy, but he is known as Vishal in the industry. 46 year old Vishal was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. After Vishal's allegations against the Censor Board, reactions from people associated with Bollywood are also coming in this matter. Film director Ashok Pandit has said that the two people named by Vishal, as per my knowledge, are not employees of CBFC. He said that it is not right to blame the Censor Board official at this stage. However, he said that the allegation is serious and I demand a CBI inquiry.
Producer and actor Jackky Bhagnani said, “This has never happened to me. I haven't even heard what he said. Therefore, I would not like to give any statement on this.”
