Why did NASA postpone Mission Psyche, made a new plan to go to a planet full of treasures?

American space agency NASA has postponed the Psyche mission by a week, now this mission will be launched on the evening of October 12. Earlier, the date of October 5 was fixed to launch the mission. The special thing is that to launch this mission, NASA is going to take the help of SpaceX's powerful rocket Falcon.

NASA's mission to the asteroid 16Psyche, which has reserves of precious metals like gold, silver, iron and zinc, has been postponed for the time being, why this was done is not clear at the moment, but NASA has set a new date to launch the mission. It has now been decided that this mission will be launched on October 12 at 7:46 pm, which will reach the Psyche asteroid in 2029 after completing a journey of almost six years. Scientists claim that it is one of the richest asteroids in the universe, if its valuable wealth is distributed among all the people of the earth then every person in the world can become a billionaire.

NASA was going to launch the Psyche mission on October 5 through Space Complete preparations were made for this, but at the right time NASA postponed this mission for a week. For this, NASA has argued that the parameters controlling the rocket's thrusters are being rechecked before launching the mission.

16 asteroid discovered is Psyche

The Psyche asteroid to which NASA is sending the mission was discovered in 1852 as the 16th asteroid. It is named after Psyche, the goddess of the soul prevalent in ancient Greek mythology, since it It is the 16th asteroid, hence its full name is 16-Psyche. According to Arizona State University, this asteroid was discovered by Italian astronomer Annibale De Gasparis. The diameter of this asteroid is approximately 226 kilometers, while the area can be 165800 kilometers.

Core will be studied

Mission Psyche being sent by NASA will reach this asteroid after 6 years i.e. in 2019. NASA scientists will study its core to find out how the Earth was formed billions of years ago. Scientists will try to understand what are the dynamic processes in the core of this asteroid that create rocks. Since the Earth is a very big planet and its core is far away from the reach of scientists, that is why 16 Psyche was chosen for this research. Because its structure closely matches the structure of the Earth.

Will be launched from Falcon rocket

Psyche mission will be launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. SpaceX and NASA scientists recently met to review its preparations and issued a new update regarding the mission. Meanwhile, it was announced that the mission to be launched on October 5 would be extended by a week. Final testing is being done for this, so that no problem of any kind arises during this long mission.
