Alzheimer disease:
Alzheimer's is a disease of the brain. World Alzheimer's Day will be celebrated across the world on 21 September. Its purpose is to make people aware about this mental illness. Due to Alzheimer's disease, a person starts forgetting things.

If you too are facing the problem of forgetting things and this problem has persisted for a long time, then pay attention now. This is a symptom of Alzheimer's disease. More than 35.6 million people worldwide are suffering from Alzheimer's disease. World Alzheimer's Day will be celebrated on 21st September to create awareness about this disease. According to the World Health Organization, the number of Alzheimer's patients may double by 2030. Due to this disease the person starts forgetting things. Earlier this problem used to occur after the age of 50, but now people are becoming victims of it only in the age of 30 to 40. Alzheimer's causes problems related to memory and thinking. Initially the symptoms of this disease are not easily detected, but as the disease progresses, it starts harming the brain. In some cases, the person's memory becomes quite weak. There is no cure for this disease till date.

In many cases, patients are not diagnosed with this disease. Even if there is a problem in memory, people consider it to be a problem of increasing age and do not get checked by a doctor. In such a situation, this disease flourishes in the body and later becomes serious. With increasing age, this disease becomes dangerous and in some cases the person starts forgetting everything. In such a situation, he becomes dependent on another person for every work of his life.

Why does this disease occur?

Dr. Vipul Gupta, HOD, Neuro Interventional Surgery Department, Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, tells that Alzheimer's disease is caused by abnormal formation of proteins around the brain cells. Due to disturbance in the function of amyloid protein, plaques are formed around the brain cells. There is no clear reason for the protein to work this way, but if all this happens in a person's brain then he gets Alzheimer's disease.

People are not aware

Dr. Gupta says that people are not aware of Alzheimer's. People consider it as mental illness or madness, whereas it is not so. For this reason the disease is not identified in the beginning. In such a situation, it is important that people are aware of the symptoms of Alzheimer's.

Take care of these symptoms

forget things often

having difficulty speaking

difficulty walking or balancing

stay cut off from people

lack of interest in any work

Protect yourself like this

Dr. Vipul explains that once Alzheimer's disease occurs, there is no cure for it, but the risks of this disease can be reduced by taking some precautions in daily life. For this, it is important to get enough sleep, not take mental stress, take care of your diet and exercise daily.
