Babar said, "We are all proud to travel for the World Cup. Although we have not played in India before, we are not taking too much pressure. We have done our research and we have heard that the conditions are similar to other Asian countries. It's a great honor for me to travel as captain this time, I hope we come back with a trophy this time."
The Pakistani captain further said, "Top four is a small target for us. We want to emerge as winners. We did not have enough time to set up camp before the World Cup because we were playing continuously for a very long time. We wanted to give the players rest so that they come back refreshed and hungry to win. When you have hunger, you play well." Pakistan will play its first match in the World Cup on 6 October against Netherlands at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
