World Cup 2023: Big statement of Pakistani captain Babar, said- I want to win the trophy, not be in the top 4.

Pakistani captain Babar Azam will tour India for the first time in his career for the ODI World Cup 2023. Pakistan did not perform well in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023. They were out of the tournament after losing to Sri Lanka in Super 4. With Pakistan team's exit like this, questions were being raised about their ability to win the World Cup. In the press conference before leaving for India, Babar said that this is his team's first tour of India, yet he is not feeling any pressure. I hope that this time we will come back with the trophy.

Babar said, "We are all proud to travel for the World Cup. Although we have not played in India before, we are not taking too much pressure. We have done our research and we have heard that the conditions are similar to other Asian countries. It's a great honor for me to travel as captain this time, I hope we come back with a trophy this time."

The Pakistani captain further said, "Top four is a small target for us. We want to emerge as winners. We did not have enough time to set up camp before the World Cup because we were playing continuously for a very long time. We wanted to give the players rest so that they come back refreshed and hungry to win. When you have hunger, you play well." Pakistan will play its first match in the World Cup on 6 October against Netherlands at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Pakistan's squad for World Cup 2023: Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafiq, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Salman Ali Aga, Mohammad Nawaz, Usama. Mir, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Wasim.
