We often hear about those students who overcome many difficulties and go to study. But today we are going to tell you about a teacher who, ignoring thousands of problems, travels 45 kilometers to teach in school. The special thing is that there is only one student in the school where the teacher goes to teach.
According to the news of Indian Express, Mangala Dhawale, the only primary teacher posted in Teeser Zilla Parishad School, goes to Atalwadi, a small settlement away from Pune, to teach a single student named Siya Shelar studying in class one. Atalwadi School is one of the 21 schools among 3,638 primary schools in Pune district that have one student and one teacher.
Teacher travels 45 kilometers every day
Mangala Dhawale lives near Pune with her husband and two children. She travels 45 kilometers every day and juggles all the family responsibilities. Actually, Mangala Dhawale's husband is also a teacher by profession who goes to school in the morning, while her 12 year old daughter goes to B school, so she has to leave her five year old child in day care. When his daughter comes from school in the afternoon, she brings her brother with her. Mangala told that there is no network at the place where she goes to teach, hence she is not able to talk to her children due to which she often remains upset.
'A single teacher cannot teach everything'
Mangala says that if cluster schools like Panshet of Velha tehsil provide buses to children like Siya, then they can study better. A child cannot learn every activity from the same teacher. Students also learn something from their colleagues, but Siya is the only student in the school and I am the only teacher, so she has to learn everything from me.
