Chasing the target, India suffered a setback in the very first over and Yashasvi Jaiswal (0), who had scored a century in the last match, returned to the pavilion without opening the account. After this, the pair of captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Tilav Verma batted in a stormy manner and made a winning partnership of 97 runs for the second wicket. Tilak completed his half-century in 25 balls and played an unbeaten inning of 55 runs, in which he hit 2 fours and 6 sixes. Whereas Gaikwad scored unbeaten 40 runs in 26 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes.
