Dwitiya of Kartik Shukla is considered very important in Hindu religion. In Sanatan tradition, it is celebrated as Bhai Dooj festival associated with the love between brother and sister. Auspicious time of Bhai Dooj 2023
According to the well-known Pandit Ramganesh Mishra of the country's capital Delhi, this year the second date of Shuklapaksha of Kartik month will start from 02:36 pm on 14 November 2023 and will continue till 01:47 pm on 14 November 2023. Since festivals in Hindu religion are often celebrated according to Udaya Tithi, this year the festival of Bhai Dooj will be celebrated on 15 October only. According to Pandit Ramganesh, this year the auspicious time for sisters to vaccinate their brothers will be between 09 am to 11 am.
Method of applying tilak to brother
On the holy festival of Bhai Dooj, after taking bath, sisters should make their brother stand towards east or north and apply tilak with Roli or Ashtagandha. Brother must keep some cloth on his head while applying Tilak. After brothers have applied Tilak to their sisters, then brothers should touch the feet of their sisters and give them gifts. Sisters and brothers should not eat food before applying tilak. Brothers and sisters should not fight among themselves on this day.
Do these remedies on Bhai Dooj
Bhai Dooj is also called Yama Dwitiya. According to Hindu belief, if brother and sister go together and take bath in Yamuna river on this day, then its auspicious result not only maintains the love between them, but also prolongs the life of the brother. It is believed that lighting a four-sided lamp at the entrance of the house on Bhai Dooj brings happiness and prosperity in the house.
