BJP does not want to repeat 5 years old mistake, now Mission 2024 will be decided only by victory in 2023.

The circumstances of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were completely different and in an atmosphere filled with patriotism, BJP was able to achieve unexpected results, but this is not possible every time. That is why the top leadership of BJP is moving ahead with all its might and does not want to leave any stone unturned regarding MP, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

BJP is desperate to perform better in the assembly elections, which are being considered as the semi-final of politics before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In the assembly elections being held in five states, BJP wants to win in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, while it is fighting to improve its past performance in Telangana and Mizoram. In fact, the perception of the Lok Sabha elections is linked to the party's performance in the three states, hence BJP wants to be on top in these.

One of the main reasons for the constant uneasiness of the BJP top leadership regarding victory in the assembly elections to be held this year is the 83 Lok Sabha seats in these five states. Of these Lok Sabha seats, BJP has 65, while Congress has only 6 Lok Sabha seats. Out of these 83 seats in five states, there is a direct contest between BJP and Congress on 65 seats in three states.

BJP and Congress face to face fight

These include 11 seats in Chhattisgarh, 29 in Madhya Pradesh and 25 in Rajasthan, where BJP and Congress mainly fight head-to-head. Out of these 65 seats in MP, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, only 3 seats (MP-1, Chhattisgarh-2) are currently with Congress, while 62 seats are in BJP's account. Therefore, in any way, the strength of Congress in these states can cause trouble for BJP for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Because of this, BJP wants to maintain its position in these states at any cost.

Electoral arithmetic of assembly seats

Now if we try to understand the electoral arithmetic and strategy through the assembly seats of these five electoral states (Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram), then there are a total of 679 assembly seats. Out of 679 assembly seats in five states, BJP currently has 217 seats, while Congress has 286 seats, that is, Congress has 69 seats more than BJP.

History of 2018 assembly elections

If we understand this closely, then in the 2018 assembly elections, Congress either won or was very close to the victory figures in all the three states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Congress managed to win 68 out of 90 seats in Chhattisgarh, 114 out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh and 100 out of 200 seats in Rajasthan. After winning the elections, Kamal Nath in MP, Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan and Bhupesh Baghel in Chhattisgarh became the Chief Ministers, but during the Lok Sabha elections held just a few months later, BJP made a strong comeback in these states and almost eliminated Congress from all the three states. .

However, some BJP leaders believe that assembly elections do not affect the Lok Sabha. To strengthen their argument, such leaders are comparing the results of the December 2018 assembly elections and the results of the Lok Sabha elections held in these states just 5 months later in May 2019.

BJP is moving ahead with all its might

At the same time, some BJP leaders say that the circumstances of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were completely different and in an environment filled with nationalism and patriotism, BJP was definitely able to achieve unexpected results, but it is not possible to do so every time. That is why the top leadership of BJP is moving ahead with all its might and does not want to leave any stone unturned regarding MP, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

BJP has prepared a special plan

However, BJP has prepared a special plan to neutralize the elections in these election states. In these states, booth level micro and macro management, deployment of leaders from outside states at the district and assembly level, a team of extension workers to work on every caste and class, excellent communication system and regular new publicity material through call centres, local opposition. It does not want to miss any opportunity in the next 40 days by setting up a barricade against the party and the Chief Ministers and above all by doing carpet bombing through the PM, Home Minister, top BJP leaders and Chief Ministers.

Preparation to fail Congress's strategy

According to BJP sources, the party's election activities will intensify from this week and after finalizing the names of the candidates from October 20 to 22, it will take the field with full force. According to BJP leaders, the party will take action at a very fast pace in the next 30 to 40 days and will fail every strategy of Congress through vigorous campaigning.
