BJP entangled in Nitish's Mandal Part-2, will Hindutva card be cut off from caste census?

Caste census figures have been released in Bihar. This is being considered the biggest issue for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. To counter this caste card of the opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has played the Hindutva card. Now the question is arising that will BJP be successful in changing the narrative set by Nitish Kumar and INDIA alliance?

One slogan was Congress's hand with the poor... Then came the slogan Congress's hand with the common man... Congress, which raised the slogan 'Neither on caste nor on caste will be stamped on hand', has now started talking about caste. That is why it is now being said that Congress is involved in the caste census. Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Congress is today doing what it had opposed. The greater the number, the greater the share, this was the slogan of BSP founder Kanshi Ram. Nitish Kumar is now taking this agenda forward. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has tried to change the narrative of politics by bringing caste survey.

Today the situation is such that except Mamata Banerjee, all the allies of INDIA alliance are with Nitish. Not only this, many allies of BJP are also demanding caste census. Anupriya Patel of Apna Dal had raised the issue of caste census in the Parliament. Omprakash Rajbhar and Sanjay Nishad are talking about this even while being with BJP. Now the biggest question is whether this caste survey card of Nitish can become a problem for BJP in the Lok Sabha elections?

BJP knew what Nitish Kumar was going to do. Under this strategy, Modi government came up with the Women's Reservation Bill. A special session of Parliament was called. The atmosphere was created such that what no other government could do, the Modi government is doing in favor of women. It is a different matter that women are not going to get any benefit from this reservation for the next ten years. Despite many types of opposition, all the opposition parties supported the government in Parliament. Everyone except Asaduddin Owaisi's party voted in support of women's reservation. Then women greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the BJP office in Delhi. When he went to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, he also went to the women's conference there. Overall, an environment is being created to win the hearts of half the population.

OBC politics is the biggest issue for India

Nitish Kumar, who was associated with BJP for a long time, had something else going on in his mind. During the debate on women's reservation in Parliament, indications started emerging that the biggest election agenda from the INDIA alliance was going to be OBC politics. Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar met thrice in three days. People thought that talks were taking place on seat distribution. But the preparation was to release the caste survey report. For this, the auspicious time of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary i.e. 2nd October was fixed. The caste survey report has changed the discourse of the country's politics.

PM Modi is playing Hindutva card

OBC Prime Minister Narendra Modi now has to play the Hindutva card to solve this problem. In the election rally on Tuesday, he said that the opposition wants to divide the Hindu society into castes. In Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, PM Modi said that Hindus have the largest population, so should Hindus take away all their rights? From Prime Minister Modi's statement it seems that BJP again wants to do politics on the pitch of Hindutva. But history is witness to the fact that whenever there has been a contest between Kamandal and Mandal in Hindi speaking areas, Mandal has won every time.

Understand the factor of caste and religion from two cases

Now from two cases it will be easy to understand whether the factor of caste or religion comes into play. The matter is of 1993 UP elections. In those days the Ram Mandir movement was at its peak. The disputed structure in Ayodhya had been demolished. BJP had powerful backward leaders like Kalyan Singh. Then two arch rivals Mulayam Singh Yadav and Kanshi Ram formed an electoral alliance. Samajwadi Party and BSP contested the elections together. Mulayam met Kanshi Ram, Jai Shri Ram flew in the air, the slogan was widely used. Samajwadi Party and BSP alliance stopped BJP's victory chariot and Mulayam Singh became the Chief Minister of UP. Now let us discuss Bihar also. Narendra Modi had become Prime Minister in 2014. After that, BJP also won in the elections of Maharashtra and Haryana. Assembly elections were held in Bihar in 2015. After years, Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar contested elections together. Lalu made RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's statement on review of reservation an issue. BJP's Hindutva collapsed in front of the caste equation of RJD and JDU.

Dilemma in BJP regarding caste reservation

BJP's dilemma regarding caste reservation is clearly visible. The central leadership of the party is in crisis. Prime Minister Modi is taking refuge in Hindutva, while Sushil Modi is saying that the decision of caste survey was taken jointly by JDU and BJP. Some BJP leaders are taking credit for the caste survey while some are taking it on the pitch of Hindu-Muslim.

Coming out of Gujarat, PM Modi has created a successful social formula of combining Kamandal and Mandal. He included non-Yadav backward people in Bihar and UP. In UP he made non-Jatav Dalits his own and in Bihar he formed an alliance with Ramlila Paswan's party. If there was any left, he compromised with the party of Sanjay Nishad, Omprakash Rajbhar, Anupriya Patel and Upendra Kushwaha. But now Nitish Kumar is challenging this formula of PM Modi, that too at the national level.

Nitish's formula made him unbeatable

Nitish Kumar also has his own hit formula for social equation. Due to which he has been running the government in Bihar for the last 17 years. He divided OBCs into backward and extremely backward. Similarly, by dividing the SC community into Dalits and Mahadalits, they made themselves unbeatable. He himself belongs to the Kurmi caste which constitutes about three percent, but remains relevant not only in the politics of the state but also in the country.

After the report of caste survey came, he is being considered as the architect of Mandal Part II. Whatever they say is the agenda of the India alliance. Rahul Gandhi is saying that there should be a caste census in the country. He claims that if government is formed in MP then this work will be done there first. The India alliance under the leadership of Nitish Kumar is now challenging the NDA to compete on the pitch created by itself. PM Modi is considered the guarantee of election victory. But right now it seems that Nitish's move for BJP is neither going to be accepted nor accepted.
