The Government of India has started 'Operation Ajay' to bring back Indians stranded in Israel amid the ongoing war with Hamas. Under this, the process of repatriation of Indian citizens stranded in Israel is continuing. The first batch of 212 Indian citizens reached India on Friday. Meanwhile, today another group of 235 Indians has reached Delhi. Minister of State for External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh had reached the airport to receive those Indians.
The second flight of Air India to bring back Indian citizens from Israel took off from Tel Aviv at around 5.35 pm on Friday evening. About 18,000 Indians are stranded in Israel. The Government of India started 'Operation Ajay' on Wednesday. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had said that he is committed to the security of Indian citizens.

The first batch of 212 citizens arrived on Friday morning
Let us tell you that the first batch of 212 citizens reached India on Friday morning by a chartered plane. The first flight for the return of Indian citizens from Israel left Ben Gurion Airport late Thursday evening with 212 people and reached Delhi on Friday morning. Let us tell you that the Government of India is bearing the expenses of their return. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi had said on Thursday that about 18,000 Indians are currently living in Israel.
War continues between Israel and Hamas for 7 days
