Although inflation is at its peak, it will not affect the festive season. Actually, the government can release retail inflation figures today. During this period, the general public may get some relief from inflation. According to experts, retail inflation in the country may be 5.50 percent. Earlier, there was 6.83 percent inflation in the month of August and more than 7 percent inflation in July. At the same time, today i.e. Thursday, retail inflation is likely to decline from 6.8% in August to 5.50% in September. Let us tell you, the reason for increase in inflation in the last 2 months was the increase in prices of tomatoes, onions and other vegetables. However, now that the government has made all the arrangements to control inflation, retail inflation may come down this time.
Figures will be released today
According to a survey, a panel of 18 economists has predicted that the consumer price inflation i.e. CPI for September will be between 5.1% and 6.5%, except two economists, all are hopeful that this time people can get relief from inflation. If inflation comes in as projected in September, the July-September average will be 6.6%, slightly above the RBI's new estimate for the quarter released last week.
Prices of these things may decrease
According to experts, this time during the festive season people can get relief from the prices of vegetables. Which means that vegetables can become cheaper in the market. At the same time, the rates of goods like grains, pulses, spices and sugar can be worrying. Apart from this, the general public will also benefit from the low price of LPG during the festive season.
