Congress did not get the support of any MP, now the address of 'War Room' will change after 15 years

Before Pradeep Bhattacharya, this bungalow was allotted to actress Rekha. Before that this bungalow was allotted in the name of an MP from South India. However, not all those in whose name this bungalow was allotted lived in this bungalow. It was used only for the work of the Congress Party.

The war room of the Congress Party has been running in 15 GRGs since 2008. From the screening committee of the party to all other important meetings, all important meetings are held in this office. Actually, this bungalow was allotted in the name of former Congress Party Bengal President and former Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Bhattacharya. Pradeep Bhattacharya's Rajya Sabha tenure ended on 18 August 2023, hence he was given notice to vacate the bungalow by the Housing Committee of Rajya Sabha.

Pradeep Bhattacharya also wrote a letter to the Housing Committee to give extension of the bungalow but till now he has not received any reply to the letter. According to sources, since no other Congress Rajya Sabha MP has come forward in whose name the party should get the bungalow allotted, the Congress party will soon vacate this bungalow and build its war room at a new place.

Congress work in bungalow allotted to MP

Before Pradeep Bhattacharya, this bungalow was allotted to actress Rekha. Before that, this bungalow was allotted in the name of an MP from South India, but all those in whose name this bungalow was allotted including Singhvi did not live in this bungalow and it was used only for the work of the Congress Party.

Where will Congress create its war room?

According to sources, this bungalow has now been allotted to independent Rajya Sabha MP from Haryana, Kartikeya Sharma. However, no decision has been taken yet regarding where Congress will set up its war room. The party's new office is being built in Firoz Shah Kotla, hence it is being speculated that Congress may shift its war room to this office in the month of November.

Decision to vacate bungalow as per rules

But the war room of Congress in Lutyens is now about to be demolished. However, the party has decided that it will vacate the bungalow following the rules. If some work is not completed then the government will vacate it quickly by paying one month's rent.
