Dark Tea Benefits: Diabetes i.e. sugar is a disease spreading rapidly in the world, for which the irregular lifestyle of people is largely responsible. In such a situation, new research presented at the annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes states that drinking dark tea regularly can provide considerable relief in diabetes 2. It has been said in this research that if diabetes patients consume black tea, it can help a lot in maintaining the balance of blood sugar in their body.
Lower risk of diabetes
Let us tell you that in this study conducted by researchers from Australia and China, two types of people were studied. In this study, the blood sugar balance in the bodies of those who did not drink black tea and those who drank black tea was monitored. In such a situation, the prediabetes risk factor in people who regularly drink black tea i.e. dark tea was found to be 53 percent less as compared to those who do not drink black tea. Along with this, the risk factor of diabetes 2 in those who did not drink dark tea was 47 percent higher than that of those who drank dark tea. In this study, BMI, gender, person's blood pressure, heart condition, cholesterol intake, smoking status and family history of diabetes were also studied between both the groups.
Helpful in controlling blood sugar
It has been said in the study that people who consume dark tea regularly, the effectiveness of insulin in their body remains high and it becomes easier to control blood sugar in the body. Because of this, it becomes much easier to keep blood sugar under control in diabetes. Along with this, dark tea also boosts metabolism in the body and its anti-inflammatory properties also benefit the body. The anti-oxidants found in black tea not only increase the body's immunity but also protect the body from many diseases. Black tea works to control cholesterol in the body, which helps in keeping the heart healthy.
