The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match is being played between England and Bangladesh (ENG vs BAN) on the Dharamshala ground today i.e. Tuesday (10 October) in which Bangladesh's star bowler Mustafizur Rahman was badly injured. Narrowly escaped injury. Actually, during the England innings, when Mustafizur Rahman came to bowl the 22nd over, this incident happened due to a mistake by Joe Root.
ICC itself has shared the video of this incident from its official Instagram account. In this video, it can be seen how when Mustafizur was bowling the first ball of his over, suddenly Joe Root moved away from his crease and signaled the bowler to stop. Perhaps he was not ready or had some problem, but due to Root's actions, Mustafizur kept getting badly injured.
Let us tell you that it is never easy for any bowler to stop himself suddenly while bowling. Same thing was seen here also. When Mustafizur suddenly stopped, he could not control himself and turned around and fell on the pitch. Here his knee got twisted and he appeared to be in pain. After this the physio had to come to see him, but meanwhile, it was a matter of relief that his injury was not very serious and he was ready to bowl once again. But it would not be wrong to say that Root's mistake could have cost Bangladesh dearly.
Bangladesh (Playing XI): Tanjeed Hasan, Liton Das, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan (captain), Mehdi Hasan Miraj, Mushfiqur Rahim (w), Tauheed Hridoy, Mahedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman.
