Pregnancy is a sensitive stage in which the health of the mother and child becomes very important. Ultrasound test plays an important role in tracking the condition of the mother and baby during pregnancy. Ultrasound takes pictures of the uterus and fetus by sending rays inside the body. It helps in seeing the condition of the umbilical cord, development of the fetus, heartbeat etc. It is necessary to get at least 3-4 ultrasounds done during pregnancy. But getting more ultrasound done than this is not considered right. Getting ultrasound done repeatedly without any reason can cause harm to the child. His bones and brain may be affected. Know when it should be done...
First ultrasound: The first ultrasound done during pregnancy is very important. Usually, doctors recommend getting the first ultrasound done 6 to 8 weeks after conception. The main purpose of this ultrasound is to check the condition of the fallopian tubes and the fetus. It checks whether the fallopian tube is in the right place or not, whether the fetus is developing properly or not, whether the heartbeat of the fetus is normal or not, etc. If there is any problem, it can be detected using ultrasound and proper treatment can be done. Therefore, it is very important to get ultrasound done in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Second ultrasound: It is very important to get a second ultrasound done between 18 to 20 weeks of pregnancy. During this period, the physical development of the fetus occurs rapidly and the body parts become clearly visible. With the second ultrasound, the main organs of the fetus like heart, brain, kidney etc. are examined. Through this, Anatomical anomalies i.e. congenital disorders can also be detected.
Third ultrasound: The third ultrasound becomes very important between 28 to 32 weeks of pregnancy. This is the third trimester of pregnancy when the fetus starts developing rapidly. The physical development and weight of the fetus can be monitored through the third ultrasound. It is checked whether the weight of the baby is correct according to the age or not. Whether the main organs of the baby like brain, heart, kidney etc. are developing in the right direction or not.
Fourth ultrasound: The fourth ultrasound is done during 34 to 36 weeks of pregnancy. This is the last stage of pregnancy when the time of delivery approaches. With the fourth ultrasound, the condition of the fetus and the condition of the placenta are examined. It is seen whether the child is in the right position or not. What is the condition of the placenta and whether there is adequate blood circulation or not. With this, any complication can be detected before delivery and treated in time. Thus the last ultrasound plays a very important role.
