A surprising case came to light in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. A husband killed his wife for 4 acres of land. The husband killed his wife by slitting her throat with a frying pan and a sickle while she was sleeping. After committing the murder he ran away from home. When Nana went into the room, he was shocked to see the view inside. His granddaughter's body was lying on the ground in a blood soaked condition and her two small children were sleeping on the cot.
After receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police and CO City along with Inspector in-charge of Kotwali reached the spot along with the police force. The police took the body in their custody, did Panchnama and sent it for post-mortem. The murder incident took place in Mohalla Nehru Nagar of Sadar Kotwali area. 23-year-old Aarti, a resident of Nehru Nagar, was living with her maternal grandfather Hiralal Ahirwar since childhood along with her two children Abhay and Uday.
Nana had given land in the name of the deceased
Nana had married deceased Anita 6 years ago to Akhilesh Ahirwar, a resident of village Dharmapura of Jakhaura police station. Since Nana did not have any children, he had given his 4 acres of land to Anita four years ago. Since then, Anita's husband Akhilesh used to fight with her every day to get the land in his name. Eight days ago, Akhilesh had run away somewhere with his small children, after which Anita had lodged a complaint in the women's police station, after which the police got those children back from her husband to Anita.
