Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact and address the contingent of Indian athletes participating in the Asian Games at the Major Dhyanchand Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday evening. India performed brilliantly in the Asian Games 2022 held in China and won a total of 107 medals including 28 gold medals.
According to a press release issued by the government, this program is an effort by the Prime Minister to congratulate the athletes for their outstanding achievement in the Asian Games 2022 and motivate them for future competitions. This is India's best performance in the Asian Games in terms of total number of medals won.
The athletes of the Indian contingent for the Asian Games, their coaches, officials of the Indian Olympic Association, representatives of national sports federations and officials of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will also participate in the program.
