Indigo flight travel will become expensive from today, ticket rates increased from Rs 300 to Rs 1000


Those traveling with Indigo Airlines have suffered a major setback amid rising inflation. The airline company has decided to impose extra fuel charge on its flight tickets. This is an extra charge of Rs 300 to Rs 1000 on every ticket.

Actually, now Indigo flight tickets have become costlier by Rs 1000. Indigo Airlines has increased the flight tickets on both domestic and international routes by Rs 300 to Rs 1000. The airline has decided to charge extra fuel charge up to Rs 1000. Indigo has taken this decision in view of the rising prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel i.e. ATF. Let us tell you, the new rates of the airline have come into effect today.

Why did the fare increase?

In a press release on Thursday, IndiGo said that after the increase in the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) for the third consecutive month, the airline is having to impose fuel charges on domestic and international routes. These prices will come into effect from 00.01 pm on 6 October 2023. This will make a difference to those people who were going home on Diwali and Dussehra.

If you book Indigo flight tickets after 12 midnight, you will have to pay more than before. It has been decided to charge fuel on both domestic and international flights of Indigo. Airlines have divided this charge according to distance. Different rates have been implemented according to distance. While the lowest fuel charge is Rs 300, the highest is Rs 1000.

According to the new decision of IndiGo, Rs 300 for 0-500 km, Rs 400 for 501-1000 km, Rs 550 for 1001-1500 km, Rs 650 for 1501-2500 km, Rs 800 for 2501-3500 km and more than 3501 km. But fuse charge of Rs 1000 will be charged. Airlines have taken this decision in view of the increasing prices of aviation turbine fuel.
