Israel formed war cabinet against Hamas, know how it works

Israel has been facing war for a long time. Since its establishment in 1948, it has been facing deadly attacks. After the meeting of Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz, a joint statement has come, which says – After today's meeting, both of them have signed a proposal to form an emergency government and war cabinet. After this, National Unity Party leader Benny Gantz wrote on social media – Israel's interest comes before anything else. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir wrote - We welcome this unity, now we must win.

What is war cabinet?

Usually, a war cabinet is formed in any country to deal with foreign attacks. War Cabinet is basically the name of a temporary cabinet, whose purpose is to conduct the war efficiently and effectively. Under this, a strategy is prepared to eliminate the enemies. Usually, all the political parties of any country cooperate in this. Their aim is to protect the sovereignty of the country.

Apart from the Prime Minister/President of the country and senior military officers, opposition politicians are also members of the War Cabinet. Israel's three-member war cabinet includes Netanyahu, Gantz and Defense Minister Yoav Galant. All three have shown solidarity for the defense of Israel and have pledged to give a befitting reply to Hamas. This becomes more important because the ruling party and the opposition in Israel have deep hostility towards each other.

How does the war cabinet work?

In view of the dangerous situation, the members of the War Cabinet remain alert from time to time for emergency meetings and make strategies to win the war. This is a type of emergency government, in which no single party is in power. There is broad national consent for military action against terrorism or enemy attack.

Israel's War Cabinet includes two of the strongest individuals, who are experts in military strategies. Their names are Gantz and Eisenkot. In the formation of the War Cabinet, it has been agreed that at present no such law or government resolution will be taken forward in the country which is not related to war. The entire focus will be on the war with Hamas.

War cabinet has been formed earlier also

The concept of war cabinet or war room during war or attack by external power is old. Churchill's War Cabinet was very famous during the Second World War. It is mentioned in history books that during air raids, War Cabinet meetings were held in the basement. It was here that the data needed for Prime Minister Churchill, the armed forces and King George VI was collected. The Cabinet War Rooms were in full operation a week before Britain declared war on Germany on 27 August 1939.
