Delhi and Mumbai were put on high alert after the explosion during a prayer meeting in Kerala. Police have increased their vigilance in other states of the country including UP. Security at Jewish religious places in Mumbai and Pune has been tightened. Along with this, special monitoring is being done on programs related to Israel and Hamas and security agencies have been instructed to take special precautions.
The national capital police, which comes under the jurisdiction of the Home Ministry, said it is coordinating with intelligence agencies and will not take any input lightly. Police said security arrangements are being tightened at churches across Delhi and "special vigil" is being maintained at crowded places.
"Following the blast at the convention center in Kalamassery, Kerala, Delhi Police is on high alert and special vigil is being maintained at crowded places," a statement said.
Security increased in Jewish areas
According to the report, Mumbai Police has issued a high alert in view of the blasts in Kerala as well as the upcoming festive season and cricket matches. Police reportedly said security has also been beefed up around the Chabad House, the Jewish center in the city.
After the bomb blast in Kerala, high alert has been declared in Uttar Pradesh. UP ATS was also alerted. ATS teams have been re-investigated in investigating the new inputs received in the past few days. Instructions have been given to keep an eye on every program related to Israel-Palestine war. It has been asked to collect complete information about the people present during the program as well as those who joined virtually.

High alert has been issued in Noida after the Kerala blast. Sector 58 police marched on foot. Noida Police is keeping an eye on crowded places.
Let us tell you that the blasts in Kalamassery, located 10 km from Kochi, took place during a prayer meeting in Jehovah's Prayer organized by a Christian group at the Convention Centre. The first blast occurred around 9 a.m. during prayers, followed by several explosions.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, this is a very unfortunate incident. All the top officials are in Ernakulam. I have spoken to the DGP (Director General of Police).”
News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Vijayan after the blasts and took stock of the situation. The report said that the Home Ministry has directed anti-terrorism investigative agencies - National Investigation Agency and National Security Guard - to assist the state government in the investigation.
