Adding capsicum to food not only makes it tasty but also makes it very attractive to look at. The green, red, yellow colors of capsicum mixed with vegetables make them colorful and beautiful. Green, red, yellow, orange and black capsicum, the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants present in all of them are a boon for us. 

Capsicum of all colors has its own benefits 

Paprika – Contains capsaicin and carotenoids, which give it pepper and color. These work as antioxidants and increase immunity.

Green capsicum – It contains vitamin C and chlorophyll, which increase immunity. 

Yellow capsicum – It contains carotenoids which are beneficial for the eyes and protect the retina.

Black Capsicum – It contains the highest amount of antioxidants which help in fighting cancer. 

Orange capsicum – Beta carotene is found in it which gives it orange color. Beta carotene is very beneficial for the eyes. It protects the retina. 

Know which is more beneficial.

The amount of phytonutrients such as beta-carotene and vitamin C in red capsicum is much higher than that of green capsicum or other capsicum. The amount of beta-carotene in red capsicum is found to be 11 times more than that of green capsicum. Similarly, the amount of Vitamin C in red capsicum is also one and a half times more than that of green capsicum. On the other hand, green capsicum contains less sugar. Therefore, consumption of red capsicum is more beneficial for nutrients.
