Norwegian writer and playwright John Fosse has been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature 2023. The Nobel Committee of the Swedish Academy announced this on Thursday. John Fosse received this award for his innovative plays and prose, through which he continuously raises the voice of the society.
John Fosse's name for the Nobel in Literature was announced at 4.30 pm on Thursday evening. This prestigious award is given to people who have benefited mankind through their research, service or literature. Apart from literature, this award is given in the categories of medicine, chemistry, peace, economics and physics.
