The war continues between Israel and Palestinian Hamas. In such a situation, Operation Vijay has been started by the Central Government to bring back Indians stranded in Israel. Today, on October 15, in the morning, two planes carrying Indians from Israel reached New Delhi. There were 197 Indians on board the first plane and some 276 Indians on the second plane.
About 18,000 Indians work in Israel. Operation Ajay has been started by the Central Government from October 12 to bring back the Indians trapped there safely due to the ongoing war in Israel.
Central government is bearing the expenses
The central government is bearing the expenses of all the people coming from Israel to India. The first plane from Israel came to India on Thursday with 212 people and the second plane reached New Delhi airport on Saturday morning with 235 people. According to the Indian Embassy in Israel, under Operation Ajay, seats will be allotted to Indian citizens on first-come, first-served basis for repatriation.
