Both the buildings were evacuated on Saturday after bomb threats were received at the Louvre Museum and the Versailles Palace in the French capital Paris. The employees present in the building have also been evacuated from there. After the stabbing incident in the school by a suspected extremist, the government has issued a high alert in the country and is deploying 7000 soldiers to ensure security.
According to PTI report, the school was attacked by suspected extremists on Friday. After which tourist places like Louvre Museum and Versailles Palace have been evacuated on Saturday. Their tourist places are counted among the most visited places in the world. 30-40 thousand tourists visit the Louvre Museum every day. There are many masterpieces in this museum including the famous painting Monalisa.
Police surrounded from all sides
As soon as the evacuation of both buildings was announced after the bomb threat, alarms started ringing in the Louvre. After this, as soon as the tourists and other people started coming out, the police surrounded the monument from all sides. Police said that the former royal palace of Versailles has also received a bomb threat.
Teacher stabbed to death
There was panic in a school on Friday when a former student stabbed a teacher to death and injured three others. After this attack in the school, the French government has increased the alert level. As the alert increased, security has also been increased in all the cities of the country.
