Relief to Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi and Rabri, bail granted in land for job scam case

Land for Railway Jobs Scam: Lalu family has got a big relief in the Land for Jobs case. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has granted bail to Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, Rabri Devi. The court granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 50 thousand.

On September 22, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court had issued summons to former Bihar CM and RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, former railway officials and the accused and others in the land-for-job scam case.

Delhi court had ordered all the accused including Lalu-Rabri and Tejashwi to appear before the court on October 4. The court of Special CBI Judge Geetanjali Goyal had issued summons to 17 people including Tejashwi Yadav. Today, along with Lalu-Rabri, Tejashwi also appeared in the court, where he got bail on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. The next hearing in the case will be held on October 16.

CBI had filed the charge sheet on July 3.

Let us tell you that CBI had filed the charge sheet in this case on July 3. This was the second charge sheet filed by the investigating agency in the case. However, this was the first charge sheet in which Tejashwi Yadav was made an accused. Lalu is out on bail in the land-for-job scam case as well as in cases related to fodder scam.

Allegation of land in exchange for job scam

Actually, this case is of land in exchange for job scam. When Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009. During this time, he had given Group-D jobs in Railways to people by taking land. On May 18, 2022, the investigating agency had registered a case against Lalu, his wife, two daughters and 15 others including his public servants.
