The trust of 5 years ago or the formula of Gujarat-UP, what will be the Muslim politics of BJP in MP-Rajasthan-Telangana?

In the list of candidates released so far for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh elections, BJP has not given ticket to even a single Muslim. In such a situation, the question arises whether this time BJP will express confidence in Muslims like last time or will it contest elections on the formula of Gujarat and UP?

The bugle has sounded for the assembly elections of five states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Telangana. BJP is busy sharpening its election campaign with full vigor so that it can win the electoral battle of 2023 and write a strong script for Mission-2024. BJP has been fielding Muslim candidates in three of the five states, but this time the party is not opening its cards.

Let us tell you that in the 2018 assembly elections, BJP had fielded one Muslim candidate in Madhya Pradesh, one in Rajasthan and two in Telangana, but not even a single Muslim could win. However, before that in 2013, BJP had fielded four Muslim candidates in Rajasthan, out of which two were successful in becoming MLAs. Yunus Khan was also made a minister in Vasundhara Raje's government and he was given huge ministries like PWD.

In the 2018 assembly elections, Yunus Khan was fielded against Sachin Pilot of Congress on Tonk seat instead of Didwana. He could not win because the seat was changed and he was in front of the pilot. Similarly, in Madhya Pradesh, Muslims were associated with the party since the Jana Sangh era and Muslim leaders were also among the founding members of BJP. BJP has been playing the Muslim card on Muslim dominated seats in old Hyderabad of Telangana, but in the current era the party has changed its stand on Muslim politics.

BJP adopted Gujarat-UP formula

In UP, Gujarat and Karnataka, BJP did not field any Muslim face. In UP, tickets were not given to Muslims in the 2017 and 2022 assembly elections, but Muslim representation was given by making them ministers in the government. This is why everyone's eyes were on BJP's candidates from Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Rajasthan. In MP, BJP has fielded candidates on 136 seats, in Chhattisgarh it has announced 85 tickets and in Rajasthan, it has announced the names of tickets on 41 seats. BJP has not yet made a single Muslim candidate in all the three states, due to which the heartbeats of the Muslim leaders of the party have increased.

In the first list of 41 candidates of BJP for the Rajasthan Assembly elections, many close ones of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje did not get tickets this time, due to which the concern of former minister Yunus Khan has also increased. In the last election itself, there was objection on the name of Yunus Khan and despite all the efforts of Vasundhara Raje, he did not get the ticket, but his seat was changed. This time there is doubt about Vasundhara Raje and there is doubt about Yunus Khan contesting the elections. Whether BJP contests from Tonk seat or Dadwani or not.

At the same time, in the last assembly of Madhya Pradesh, BJP had fielded Fatima Rasool Siddiqui as its candidate from Bhopal North seat, but could not win. His father had been MLA from this seat. Will BJP field Fatima Rasool this time or will it bet on a new face, because the party has not yet made anyone a candidate for this seat. Similarly, BJP had fielded Syed Shahzadi against Akbaruddin Owaisi in Chandrayangutta seat of Telangana and the party had fielded Muslim candidates in another seat of Old Hyderabad, but both were defeated. In Chhattisgarh, Congress has fielded a Muslim candidate, but BJP has not given even a single ticket.

8 seats in Chhattisgarh are Muslim dominated

National President of BJP Minority Morcha, Jamal Siddiqui, while talking to said that 40 assembly seats in Rajasthan, 16 in Madhya Pradesh and 24 assembly seats in Telangana are considered Muslim majority. Similarly, 8 seats in Chhattisgarh are Muslim dominated. We are working on the Muslim dominated seats of these four states and we hope that this time also the party will field the Muslim community by giving them tickets, but the criteria for giving tickets in BJP is not religion and caste but survey basis. If BJP's survey shows a possibility of Muslim candidate winning, then the party will work on giving tickets at any cost, because victory is most important in elections.

Jamal Siddiqui says that Ismail was fielded in the Tripura by-election and she was successful in winning with a huge vote. If BJP does not give ticket to any Muslim, then the main reason behind it is that if he is made a candidate and loses the election, then the morale will be broken. That is why BJP did not give ticket to anyone in UP, but after winning the elections, made him a minister in the government and today there are four Muslim MLCs. Muslims will have to understand and change their attitude towards BJP. After this, if BJP does not give ticket then questions should be raised. BJP is running on the basic mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vikas'. Expressing hope, Siddiqui said that have faith that BJP will contest elections in three states this time too by giving tickets to the Muslim community.
