This is how India will defeat China in Ladakh and Arunachal, now America also joins hands

A situation of tension persists in the Himalayan areas between India and China. The Indian government has made a big deal with America to strengthen the army in this area with naturally difficult conditions. Earlier India was supposed to get help from Germany, but things could not work out.

India has now joined hands with America to deal with China in the Himalayan region. India has developed indigenous light tanks to defeat China in high altitude areas like the Himalayas and to strengthen the army. This will help in giving India an edge over China in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh. Now India is going to get the supply of its engine from America.

The Indian Army has selected American company 'Cummins' for the supply of the engine. Earlier a German company was going to supply these engines. But the matter could not be resolved. There is a special reason for this too.

Larsen and Toubro is making tanks

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the company handling important projects like India's 'Statue of Unity' and 'Shri Ram Janmasthali Mandir', is working on developing this tank. Only last year the government had given permission to this tank. L&T is developing this tank in collaboration with India's Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).

These tanks of L&T will now be fitted with engines from American company Cummins. The engines of the German company were not used due to their weight ratio. Apart from this, another major reason for the deal not being cracked with Germany was their not agreeing to on-time delivery. This would have delayed the program to develop a light weight tank.

India needs more than 350 tanks

The Indian Army currently requires about 354 light weight tanks. He wants this tank for the areas of Ladakh. L&T and DRDO together will make 59 such tanks. After this, the Indian Army will issue a tender to some other Indian company to make more such tanks.

The Indian Army has deployed its T-72 and T-90 tanks in many high altitude areas to deal with China. However, 2 years ago the government felt that India needed a light weight tank, so that the challenge of China could be dealt with well.
