VIDEO: Livingstone proved to be a dwarf in front of Trent Boult, kneeled like this on 'Knuckle Ball'

ODI World Cup 2023 ENG vs NZ 1st Match: The first match of the World Cup 2023 is being played between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, on the basis of Joe Root's brilliant inning of 77 runs, England scored 282 runs on the score board after 50 overs, which means that the Kiwi team will have to score 283 runs to avenge the defeat of the 2019 World Cup final.

If Joe Root had not held one end for England in this match, perhaps the England team would not have been able to reach even 250. In this match, the English team had expectations from many star players but all of them failed. Especially a big innings was expected from Liam Livingstone but he lost his wicket to the cunningness of Trent Boult.

Trent Boult bowled the 39th over of the English innings and in that over he did not allow Liam Livingstone to score even a single run. After playing the first four dot balls, Livingstone tried to play a big shot but he could not read Boult's knuckle ball and gave an easy catch to Matt Henry. Before being out, Livingstone scored 20 runs in 22 balls. You can watch the video of Livingstone's wicket below.

Talking about the Kiwi team in this match, Matt Henry was the most successful bowler among the bowlers of the team, he took 3 wickets in 9 overs. Apart from them, Mitchell Santner and Glenn Phillips took two wickets each. While Trent Boult and Rachin Ravindra took one wicket each. Now it will be interesting to see whether the Kiwi team is able to achieve its first win of the tournament by scoring 283 runs or the first points are added to England's account.
