Virat Kohli showed amazing agility and took an amazing catch of Marsh, and broke Anil Kumble's record, see VIDEO

Former captain Virat Kohli gave India its first success by taking a wonderful catch of Mitchell Marsh in the slip in the ICC World Cup 2023 match against Australia on Sunday (8 October). Let us tell you that India-Australia are playing their first match of this World Cup at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

During the thirtieth over of the innings bowled by Jasprit Bumrah, Kohli took an amazing catch by diving to the left. Marsh lost his wicket while trying to play the length ball of the fifth stump towards the off side. Kohli showed amazing agility and took this catch, the video of which is going viral on social media.

Marsh faced 6 balls but could not open his account.

With this catch, Kohli made a special record in his name. He has become the player who has taken the most catches for India in the World Cup. This was Kohli's 15th catch in the history of this tournament. He left Anil Kumble behind, who took 14 catches in World Cup history for India.

It is noteworthy that in this match, Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first. Shubman Gill is not playing for India in this match. Gill is suffering from dengue and Ishan Kishan has got a chance in his place in the playing eleven. Kishan will open the innings with captain Rohit Sharma.
