WC 2023: Team India's record in Chepauk is bad, Australia's record is better

ODI World Cup 2023: The Indian cricket team will start its World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia tomorrow i.e. on 8th October. This match will be held at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai where Team India's record has not been good. Whereas, if we talk about Australia, their record against India on this ground has been quite good.

Seeing these figures, the hearts of Indian fans are sinking because India's record in the World Cup in front of the Australian team has been bad anyway and in such a situation, starting the tournament on a ground where Team India's record is not good, it is a big shock for the Indian fans. Is scaring. If we talk about this ground, the teams of India and Australia have faced each other thrice in Chepauk, out of which Australia has won twice.

Whereas the Indian team has been able to win only one match. The match which the Indian team won against Australia was played in 2017. At the same time, in 1987, these two countries played the first match on this ground in which Australia won by 1 run, whereas Australia got the second victory during the ODI series played in the same year in 2023.

Whereas, if we talk about the overall record, India has played a total of 15 matches on this ground. Out of these 15, India has won 7 while 6 have lost and 2 have been inconclusive. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether the Indian team will be able to improve its record on this ground or Australia will continue its dominance. Before this big match, a bad news has also emerged for India. Shubman Gill is suffering from dengue and it is difficult for him to play in this match.
