What is sleep paralysis? When such things start appearing in dreams

Sleep paralysis is a type of muscle-related sleep disorder. Let us know about it..

What Is Sleep Paralysis: Many people start having some strange and scary experiences while sleeping in the dark of night. It seems as if someone is staring at them, some voices are coming or someone is present in their room. All these are actually a kind of hallucination i.e. illusory experiences. During sleep paralysis, many people have strange experiences, which are called hallucinations. These experiences are actually illusory and not real. In these experiences, people feel as if they have seen a ghost, a demon or a dead relative. Some people even feel that their own lookalike is standing in front of them. Let us know about this disease…

Know what is sleep paralysis

When we sleep, there are two stages in our sleep. The first stage is when we dream. This is called REM sleep. During this time, our brain sends some such signals to our body, due to which our body is not able to move. This is done so that we do not move our hands and legs in dreams. The second stage is of deep sleep. This is called non-REM sleep. Now in sleep paralysis, our brain remains awake, but our body remains asleep. That means the brain has woken up, but the body is still sleeping. In such a situation, the muscles of the body are not able to relax completely and the person starts feeling scared. He begins to hallucinate that there are ghosts around him. But this is a kind of disease.

Why does sleep paralysis occur?

Doctors believe that the biggest cause of sleep paralysis is not being able to get complete sleep. Irregular sleep-wake time, stress or lying in the wrong way can also cause this problem. Doctors say that first of all the patient should be informed that this is not a serious disease. The patient should be reassured that he is in no danger. In some cases, meditation and medicines that provide mental peace are given. The most important thing is that the patient should be asked not to take stress before sleeping.
