Father martyred, four sons martyred, he himself was martyred. At such a young age, he composed more than a dozen compositions. All these introductions are of one person Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who was the tenth Guru of the Sikhs. His entire life is full of inspiration. He was an embodiment of renunciation and sacrifice. He was martyred on 7 October 1708.
Although all the 10 Sikh Gurus, starting from Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who founded the Sikh sect, have their own clear and special role, but Guru Gobind Singh Ji was different among them for many reasons. His entire life is full of inspiration. He respected scholars a lot. There were often poets and writers around him. He wrote many important texts like Chandi the War, Jaap Sahib, Khalsa Mahima, Bachitra Natak, Zafarnama. His poetic work is known as Dasham Granth. For Sikhs even today this book is considered to be the order of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Mughal commander's neck was blown off
He had equal command over Sanskrit, Persian, Punjabi, Urdu and Arabic. Although he was very polite, he never shied away from giving a stern reply in case of attack. History is full of many stories of his bravery. Aurangzeb became angry with him due to the establishment of Khalsa sect and ordered his arrest. Guru Gobind Singh defeated the Mughals. Some were killed and some ran away. The group of Sikh soldiers was less in terms of numbers but it had courage and the leadership of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
When Aurangzeb got this information, he became furious. Aurangzeb's sharpshooter commander Painda Khan set out to fight. Both the armies were face to face. Guru Gobind Singh ji said that if you have given the challenge then the first attack will be from your side. The Mughal commander fired an arrow which Guru Gobind Singh ji cut on the way. He himself fired the second arrow and it directly hit the Mughal commander's neck. Then Guru Gobind Singh ji said - If I fight the eagle with the bird, then I should call him Govind Singh, meaning he addressed the Mughals as birds and the Sikh soldiers as eagles.
Took the throne at the age of 9
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, father of Guru Gobind Singh and the ninth Guru of the Sikhs, was killed on the orders of Aurangzeb. At that time Guru Gobind Singh was only 9 years old. Amidst the grief and great suffering of his father's murder, he had to assume the throne of Guru, but when he sat down, he sat down with full responsibility. Education connected the country and society. Since his father and teacher were murdered for not adopting Muslim religion, there was anger and resentment somewhere in his mind.
While he remained the guide of Sikhs throughout his life, he is also known as the protector of Hindu religion. The soldiers of Khalsa Panth follow the rules laid down by him even today. The message he gave of abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, halala meat and always being ahead in the defense of innocents is valid even today.
Mughals had got the murder done by deception
Guru Gobind Singh was a saint, leader and warrior whose three generations were martyred fighting the Mughals. Aurangzeb's atrocities were increasing. The work of converting Hindus into Muslims was going on on a large scale in Kashmir. If anyone protested, he would be murdered. On receiving this information, Govind Singh's childish mind was disturbed and he appealed to his father and ninth Guru for intervention. They did, but when Aurangzeb came to know about this, he got angry and got them murdered. Guru Gobind Singh himself was a warrior and he imparted arms training to his sons also. When the time came, he was also sent to fight the Mughals.
Two of his sons were martyred fighting the Mughals and two of them were imprisoned alive in the walls by the Mughals. Despite this he was not perturbed. Keep protecting the country and religion. After the death of Aurangzeb, Guru Gobind Singh ji helped in making Bahadur Shah Zafar the emperor. Guru ji's relations with him were cordial. Other Mughal rulers did not like this. Nawab Wajit Khan got scared. He appointed two soldiers. Who treacherously attacked Guru Gobind Singh Ji in Nadenam, Maharashtra. Guru Gobind Singh ji, who was born in Patna, was martyred there. The Mughals killed deceitfully because they knew that if they were attacked from the front, their murder would be certain.
That's why they used to put gold in their arrows
There is another anecdote which shows his human aspect. It is said that each of his arrows had one tola of gold attached to it. When the disciples asked him that the arrow is meant for killing then why do they put gold in it. He gave a very beautiful answer, saying – I have no enemy. My fight is against the oppression of the tyrant. If someone gets injured by these arrows, he can at least get himself treated with the help of gold and if he dies, there should be no inconvenience in the last rites.
