Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. He offered prayers at Parvati Kund and Jageshwar temple. The Prime Minister in a post on X advised everyone to go here. Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Temple have made a special place in his heart. The PM described the natural beauty and spiritual importance of these places as mesmerizing.
Parvati Kund in Pithoragarh has great spiritual significance as it is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva and Parvati meditated. This Kund is situated in the beautiful hills of Kumaon region and is surrounded by snow clad mountains and lush green meadows. Devotees come here to seek blessings and often take a dip in the hot spring, which is considered spiritually purifying. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Parvati Kund and took blessings.
PM Modi gave this advice
The Prime Minister said in his ex-post, “If someone asks me that I must see one place in Uttarakhand, then which would it be? So I would definitely advise them to visit Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Temple in Kumaon region. The natural beauty and divinity here will mesmerize you.”
The PM said, “Of course, there are many famous places to visit in Uttarakhand and I have also visited the state often. This includes the holy places of Kedarnath and Badrinath, which are the most memorable experiences but, returning to Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Temple after many years was special.”
If someone were to ask me- if there is one place you must visit in Uttarakhand which place would it be, I would say you must visit Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Temples in the Kumaon region of the state. The natural beauty and divinity will leave you spellbound.

Jageshwar Dham is important for the followers of Shiva.
Jageshwar Dham in Almora is an ancient temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is considered one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in Hindu mythology. The temple complex is believed to have been constructed between the 9th and 13th centuries and consists of over 100 stone temples. Jageshwar Dham is famous as the eighth Jyotirlinga and is an important pilgrimage site for the followers of Lord Shiva.
PM Modi gave a gift of thousands of crores to Uttarakhand
During this period, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled several development projects worth about Rs 4,200 crore in Uttarakhand. These projects include initiatives in sectors such as rural development, road infrastructure, power, irrigation, drinking water, horticulture, education, health and disaster management. The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana includes construction of rural roads and bridges, as well as strengthening the disaster management system. The government also plans to develop 16 temples in Kumaon division under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission.
