Turkey's attack on terrorism continues after the suicide attack near the Parliament in the capital Ankara. It is destroying the bases of Kurdish forces from Iraq to Syria. Türkiye considers them a terrorist organization. Several drone attacks have been carried out on its bases in Syria, where the US shot down a Turkish drone with the help of an F-16 fighter jet.
The Kurdistan Workers Party terrorists in Syria, whom Turkey is targeting, have been considered a terrorist organization by America since 1997. Meanwhile, Turkey may obviously be angry with America stopping attacks on those terrorists in Syria. The Pentagon itself has informed that its warplane has shot down a Turkish drone in Syria. This was posing a threat to the American army.
Why did America attack the drone?
A suicide attack took place on October 1 before the parliament session in Turkey. For this attack, two terrorists had arrived by car outside the Parliament in Ankara. Meanwhile, one terrorist blew himself up with a bomb, while the other was killed by the security forces present there. Later it was revealed that the Kurdistan Workers Party took responsibility for this attack. What happened was that the Turkish Air Force conducted several surgical strikes one after the other in Iraq. Destroyed more than 20 hideouts of terrorists.
This terrorist organization also has bases in Syria, where the Turkish army had reached for air strikes. Drone attacks were carried out on many positions of Kurdish forces. When a drone was about to pass towards a US military base, it was shot down by an American F-16. America says that the drone started flying in the restricted area. America says that dozens of calls were made to Turkey before this attack. The US Army deployed in Syria said that when the drone came within a radius of one kilometer, they started feeling threatened and then had to launch an air attack.
Turkey denies having its own drone
US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin later called the Turkish Defense Minister and the two leaders discussed the Syria issue. The US has clearly told Turkey to step back from Syria and not create any new dispute. Advised for military-to-military talks before any issue. Turkey has confirmed this conversation.
However, according to a report by Al-Jazeera, Turkey has refused to send its drones towards the American airbase. Claimed that the drone in question was not from Türkiye. A statement said that it is not only Turkey that attacks terrorism in northern Iraq and Syria. On Thursday night, the Turkish army targeted more than 30 Kurdish positions in northern Syria with air strikes. 26 terrorists have been killed in these attacks. On Friday, the second round of air strikes were carried out in northern Syria, where more than 15 targets were destroyed.
