World Cup 2023: Indian Railways' gift to cricket fans, special arrangements made for India-Pak match

There will be a match between India and Pakistan on Saturday i.e. 14th October. This will be the 8th match between the two teams in One Day World Cup history. Indian Railways has made special arrangements for the match to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Railways has announced to run special trains for this day.

After Pakistan's victory over Sri Lanka and then India's spectacular victory over Afghanistan, the buzz has been set for the match to be held in Ahmedabad on 14th October. A tough competition is expected between both the teams. Keeping this in view, Indian Railways has also given a special gift to the cricket fans. In fact, for this match to be held on Saturday, Indian Railways has announced to run a pair of special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Let us also tell you what kind of announcement has been made by Indian Railways.

Announcement of special trains from Mumbai to Ahmedabad

The India-Pakistan cricket match of the ICC World Cup will be played on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad with a capacity of 132,000 seats. People from all parts of the country will come to watch this match. Indian has made special arrangements for the people living in Mumbai. Indian Railways will run additional trains from Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad for this special day. So that people can easily reach Ahmedabad to watch the match.

What will be the timing of the trains?

This match will start at 2 o'clock on Saturday. In such a situation, Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad special train will leave from Millennium City tomorrow i.e. on 13th October and will reach its destination at 5.30 am on Saturday. Meanwhile, Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central special train will depart from Ahmedabad at 4 am on Sunday (October 15) and reach Mumbai Central at 12.10 pm.

How much will the rent be

A release from the Railways said, “Special fare” will be charged for these trains. According to Railways, these trains will be a big gift for cricket fans to watch the India-Pakistan match. These special trains include AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches and will stop at Dadar, Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat and Vadodara stations in both directions.
