World Cup 2023: New Zealand defeated Netherlands by 99 runs, batsmen and Santner created a stir

 


In the sixth match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, New Zealand defeated the Netherlands by 99 runs on the basis of the excellent performance of the batsmen and the all-round performance of Mitchell Santner. This is the Kiwi team's second consecutive win in the tournament and the Netherlands' second defeat. In this match, the Dutch team won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Chasing the target, Netherlands team collapsed to 223 in 46.3 overs. Colin Ackerman scored the most runs for Netherlands. He scored a half-century of 69 runs in 73 balls with the help of 5 fours. Apart from him, captain Scott Edwards contributed 30 runs in 27 balls with the help of 2 fours and a six. These two batsmen played a partnership of 40 (43) runs. Debutant Sybrand Engelbrecht scored 29 runs in 34 balls with the help of 3 fours. For the Kiwi team, maximum 5 wickets went to the account of Mitchell Santner. Matt Henry took 3 wickets and Rachin Ravindra took 1 wicket.
