World Cup 2023: Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka disappointed after the defeat, said- we scored 20-25 runs less

In the 8th match of World Cup 2023, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets with the help of centuries from Abdullah Shafiq and Mohammad Rizwan. This is the biggest goal achieved in the history of the World Cup. After this defeat, Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka said that we had scored 20-25 runs less on this wicket. At the same time we gave a lot of extra runs. Sri Lanka gave 26 runs extra.

Shanaka said after the match, "Mendis is in another zone, he played incredible innings in the practice match, scored 70+ in the first game and scored a brilliant century here and there are more to come. Sadira is playing really well. We were 20-25 runs short on this wicket. Credit to them, they were bowling really good slow balls. I can't ask too much from them (bowlers). We have given them simple plans. We need to think about the extras. We have to think too. We gave a lot of extra runs. We had chances in the field too, but we wasted a lot today."
